About AARS

We strongly feel that regardless of race, gender and gender identity, sexual preference, financial situation, religious belief, neurodivergence, and any other marginalized groups of people have been under-represented in amateur radio to the point of exclusion. We are a safe space.

We strive to change the world in which we live in, breaking down barriers that have existed for far too long. In the face of fascism marching towards us around the globe, we stand for freedom, compassion, and inclusion. These are our unwavering beliefs.
It shall be our purpose to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members and public, to promote radio knowledge, camaraderie and individual operating efficiency, and to conduct club programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in the community. The primary function of the club is to bring people together through curiosity, service, and communication. We are committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment for all operators and guests, regardless of race, color, ethnicity, nationality, language, age, religion, disability, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, technical experience, or license class. To this point, we do not believe that financial situations should prevent membership. Joining and participating in the AARS community is at no charge.

Membership shall be open to any person who actively supports Alliance Amateur Radio Society’s purpose. We reserve the right to decline membership to anyone the board deems to not represent the goals and mission of this organization.
