1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to the Alliance Amateur Radio Society (“AARS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, https://allianceamateur.org (the “Site”), and any services, features, content, applications, or products offered by AARS (collectively, the “Services”), you (“you” or “User”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AARS.
2. Description of Services
AARS is an all-inclusive ham radio club providing online courses, product reviews, classified ads, membership opportunities, and donation options related to amateur radio. We offer various Services, including but not limited to:
- Online Courses: Educational materials and instruction related to amateur radio.
- Product Reviews: User-generated and AARS-provided reviews of amateur radio equipment and accessories.
- Classified Ads: A platform for Users to buy, sell, or trade amateur radio equipment.
- Membership: Access to exclusive content, community features, and benefits related to AARS.
- Donations: Opportunities to support AARS’s mission and activities.
3. User Accounts
3.1. Account Creation: To access certain features of the Services, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
3.2. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. AARS will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.
3.3. Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.
4. User Conduct
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict or inhibit their use and enjoyment of the Services. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Posting or transmitting any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Services or servers or networks connected to the Services.
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations.
- Collecting or storing personal data about other users without their express consent.
- Posting spam, chain letters, or other unsolicited communications.
5. Classified Ads
5.1. Responsibility: AARS provides a platform for classified ads but is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of the ads. Users are solely responsible for their interactions with other users and for any transactions conducted through the classified ads section.
5.2. Disclaimer: AARS does not endorse or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any items advertised in the classified ads section. Users are advised to exercise caution and conduct their own due diligence before entering into any transactions.
5.3. Prohibited Items: Users are prohibited from advertising items that are illegal, dangerous, or otherwise violate these Terms or any applicable laws or regulations.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1. AARS Content: All content included on the Site, such as text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, video clips, data compilations, and software, is the property of AARS or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright laws.
6.2. User Content: By posting or submitting content to the Services, you grant AARS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content in any media. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post and that the content is accurate and not misleading.
6.3. Trademarks: The AARS name and logo are trademarks of Alliance Amateur Radio Society. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission.
7. Donations
All donations made to AARS are voluntary and non-refundable. AARS reserves the right to use donations for any purpose consistent with its mission.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AARS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICES ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AARS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY DEFAMATORY, OFFENSIVE, OR ILLEGAL CONDUCT OF OTHER USERS OR THIRD PARTIES; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL AARS’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AARS, IF ANY, DURING THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE ACCRUAL OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AARS, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services.
11. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
